Knowledge is power. We have heard the saying. In insurance, our saying is "Read your policy." Yes, please know what you are buying when you pay for insurance coverage. We have many people that we trust. Many of us will trust our insurance agent without hesitating. I would like to make a distinction, though. We can trust someone and also verify. I think there are versions of another saying that comes to mind, "Trust and verify." You know where I am going. When buying auto insurance or home insurance or other coverages, we want to know that it has the protection, the coverages, that we expect. We want to know what we are paying for. Another term to bring into our discussion is, "due diligence." This means taking care, being prudent, to take the steps necessary so that we have accuracy and knowledge about a purchase that is important to us. We have all seen people who sign contracts without reading them. Many of us have done so, in different situations. Sometimes the risk is small and other times the risk is large. Well... again, read before you sign. This is due diligence, because we have to live with the consequence of the contracts that we sign. Yes, these are caveats, warnings, cautions, and encouragements, that we should take the steps necessary to protect our interests. Insurance is something that most of us hope to never use. When something happens, we want to know what the contract says, the one we have signed, and know before it matters whether it is good for us or not. We will "own it" in most every situation because it is after the fact. At the Insurance Place of Orange Park, Inc, we will discuss and present the policy applications that you want to read, know, and understand. We are open to your questions and discussions until you are satisfied. Call us at 904-272-4660 and work on an e-signature policy that you will sign from the convenience of your home, or come see us at 999 Blanding Blvd, Suite 4, Orange Park, FL 32065.
