We are watching for the path of hurricane Irma.  Mostly, you have just a few hours to update your insurance information.  Insurers are not allowing additions to policies because of the predictable risks of a hurricane.  Let's talk about what we should do at anytime to update policies.  Many of us don't realize that claims could be denied because we did not inform our insurer about factual changes related to our policies.  This is why, as agents, we always want to update your information in our computers.  Among others here's a few things you should verify about your insurable risks and policies:  1) Is your physical address correct?  2) Because of changes in your vehicle ownership, was your policy properly updated for swapped-out or purchased vehicles?  Is the coverage correct, such as comprehensive and collision?  3) Has your homeowners insurance been updated with changes in property valuation or improvements to your property?  4) Are all drivers included in your auto policies?  These are a few things to consider.  Stay protected and call us at your Insurance Place of Orange Park Inc., or call us by the name many of you know and love . . . Pickering Insurance, Inc.
